Holidays have begun! Already two weeks down but feels like I have been away a lot longer.

Have visited (random - just writing down as I remember them!)
The Girl with the Pearl Earring at Mauritshuis museum and the Escher gallery while in the Hague.
Corpus museum in Leiden.
Miniture Holland just outside of the Hague.
To visit my friend Manon in Haarlem.
Out boating on the canals.
To a thesis defence.
To an art exhibition (friend of Saco's)
To the beach.
To the goat farm to feed baby goats. (okay, so maybe not me - even as babies they are scary!)
And I may have had a drink or two inbetween all those adventures!

Will post about the beautiful city of Barcelona tomorrow...

Ventured to see The Girl with the Pearl earring at the Mauritshuis gallery in The Hague today. Followed up by Escher exhibition. Excellent!

Meike's (23 month old) current English sayings: "banana", "cucumber", "in the house", "in the box" and my favourite "mmmmm, delicious". I love brain washing children!!

Books read today: Över een kleine mol die wil weten wie er op zijn kop gepoept heeft. (About a small mole who wants to know who shitted on his head". Funny... how funny? Too funny)

'Daddy Friday' tomorrow. Presuming drinks will start sometime after midday....

I had promised myself that I would limit the number of live shows I see this year in an attempt to save money. Purchased Crowded House tickets this morning and am still yet to pay off Noiseworks tickets for their 21st Anniversay tour (not sure why its a 21st anniversay - haven't actually been together for the last 15 years!) - well worth the investment though as we are second row!. Presuming The Cat Empire will tour before the end of the year as well.....lets just hope Wolfmother stay away!

Day 2 of the F1 Grand Prix. Office is 2.5 kms away from the track (and 14 floors up) but still very noisy.
Going to see baby Luca tonight in the Children's hospital. Yet to meet baby number 2.
Off to a Grand Prix party tonight - may need to indulge in a cocktail after stressful week!
I wish Air was here.... bloody cancer - grrrr....maybe I'll just have to come for a visit to Vancouver...
